Frappucino//Latte Recipe

After some a lot of yard work, I was about to head to the beach.  Before that however, I decided to make a frappucino-- mine however are a lot less sweet (still sweet enough!) than regular advertised Starbucks or Caribou types.  Usually I freeze coffee that was not drank in ice cube trays.  Sadly we didn't have any left!  So instead I made a latte type drink, which can be turned into a frappe if you use coffee ice cubes.

So first of all you have to get out Ingredients/Utensils.

1.  A blender
2.  Milk (preferably Whole or 2%-- the others aren't thick enough.)
3.  Coffee ice cubes, or left over coffee, and regular ice cubes
4.  Vanilla Extract
5.  Sugar

If you are planning on making the Frappucino place around 6-8 coffee ice cubes into the blender.  Not at the same time however.  Begin with two or three and add some milk.  Then once those are about blended you can add a couple more.  I usually never measure anything for making these, so bare with me as I give approximate measurements ^.^

If you are planning on making a Latte, (because you don't have coffee ice cubes), do the same as before except add regular coffee (maybe 1/4-1/2 cup?) and three or four regular ice cubes with your milk.  I think three or so cups of milk would be right.  You can experiment though!

Make sure you use the ice crush button on the blender.  The other ones will not work until the ice it crushed almost all the way.  Then you can use the blend for adding other things ;)

Then add about a Tablespoon or so of sugar, depending on how sweet you want it.  Blend that up, and don't add too much because the vanilla will sweeten it too!

Now for the Vanilla.  I would say add about 1 1/2 teaspoon give or take.  There should be enough to take most of the bitterness out of the coffee, but not too much that it tastes like vanilla instead of coffe-- unless that's what you want ^.^

Now, your Latte will look like this (the frappucino shouldn't... I don't think.)  You can skim about half of the foam off if you want, and stir the rest of it in :)
Once all is finished pour your Frappucino or Latte into a glass and enjoy!  Usually there will be enough for two people, so invite someone around to share ^.^  If you have any question just leave a comment below and I will answer it as soon as possible.  Have a great weekend!
